HUNTED…

There’s nothing better than rationalizing a crazy weekend (over-booked and over-worked) with a great find. After little success with estate and garage sales in the Hamptons, my husband and I went to an art opening at one of the east ends best florists, The Greenery, in Westhampton, NY.

The owner, Karel DeLeeuw—a Dutchman who spends most of his year in the south of France—is currently showing the work of oil painter, Natalia Clarke. Clarke is a Moscow native but studied here (NY Institute of Photography, The Long Island Academy of Fine, and Atelier Armetta).

DeLeeuw has sold 11 paintings of hers since the opening yesterday. If that doesn’t tell you a bit about the value and talent, then nothing will.
